Become a volunteer in 2021

The NZ Tattoo & Art Festival, Australasia’s biggest tattoo event is returning in 2021 for its 10th anniversary!

Like any major event, we need the help of some awesome volunteers to help make the weekend a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Becoming a volunteer is a great way to meet new people, get event experience and be at the centre of the action.  NZ Tattoo & Art Festival volunteers are an important part of what makes our event special and we’d love to have you as part of the team!

Volunteers can apply to work across a range of jobs, from setting up and packing down the festival, ticketing, customer service and general assistance during the festival.

How much time do I need to give?

2 full shifts over 2 days.  Weekend shift hours are generally 6 hours on Saturday, usually less on the Sunday as the festival finishes earlier on this day.

Pack in/Pack out hours can vary depending on how quickly set up is done.  (Volunteering for Pack in/Pack out means you have the entire weekend to attend the festival!)

What do I get in return for volunteering?

  • Volunteer experience at Australasia’s biggest tattoo event.
  • Weekend pass to attend the event for free (outside of your shift hours).
  • Official 2021 10th anniversary festival t.
  • Volunteer t (for volunteers working a Saturday/Sunday shift).
  • Passes to the official NZ Tattoo & Art Festival parties.
  • Meal allowance (based on working a full shift during the weekend or during pack in/pack out).

What happens once I sign up to volunteer?

After the volunteer application date has closed you will receive an email confirming your job role/hours for the weekend or an email thanking you for your application if we have had more volunteers than we need for the festival weekend.

You will need to attend a volunteer safety briefing prior to the festival, which is held on the Friday evening.

To register your interest please complete the following application form, including any relevant experience you may have and the roles you would like to be considered for. Applications close 1 October 2021. Successful applicants will be notified before the end of October 2021.
